DED-Ajman issues Awareness Leaflets to Consumers

Due to the current situation, DED-Ajman seeks to intensify its consumer awareness campaigns that aim to protect and assure consumers. To this effect, several sensitization messages containing tips and warnings have been issued by the DED with a view to mitigating the spread and transmission of disease, including, to choose the right time to do shopping outside the crowded hours, to wear gloves while using shopping trolleys, to buy the necessary goods and keep bills, not to rush into purchasing decision and compare goods in terms of quality and prices, not to shop with children and to use hand sanitizers after finishing shopping. DED urged consumers to diminish the number of visits to supermarkets and cooperatives and use online markets and home delivery service to avoid swarms and crowds. In this respect, DED assures the public about the availability of consumer goods in the emirate and calls upon them not to fear of stock shortage and to observe the directions of Government which consider their safety and security as one of its priorities.

DED has also recently intensified its field and inspection campaigns to the markets in the emirate in order to combat any negative phenomena by traders, who take advantage of the high demand for certain products and raise prices, whereas fines are immediately imposed on any incompliant establishments.
