Ajman DED announces adjustments to Opening Hours and Capacity for some economic activities

As part of the endeavor to protect the safety of society and to limit the speed of spread of coronavirus "COVID-19", in conjunction with the current conditions and with a view to limiting gatherings that can drive the spread of the virus, the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Ajman announced the new guidelines and protocols to be applied in the Emirate of Ajman, which include adjusting the opening hours of cafes, snack shops (cafeterias), restaurants and the like, to close at 12:00 midnight, in addition to reducing the service capacity in the premises of those facilities to become for only 50% of customers, while ensuring the commitment of workers and customers to the precautionary procedures and measures previously approved, especially wearing masks and keeping a social distance of two meters from all directions.

The new guidelines and protocols also included wedding and event halls, and limited the number of participants in weddings and events to only 50 persons as a maximum, while continuing to apply all the precautionary requirements, measures and procedures announced and circulated previously.

DED calls on the investors who own those facilities to ensure the implementation of all the precautionary requirements and measures that have been previously circulated, in addition to ensuring the commitment of visitors and patrons of those facilities to the precautionary measures.

DED also notes the importance of intensifying field inspection visits to all businesses operating in the Emirate, in order to ensure compliance with the guidelines, protocols, and precautionary procedures and measures; and any violators will be dealt with firmly to ensure the safety of society members, "We Commit to Win".
