Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED), honored 10 employees of the Ajman DED for obtaining the “Accredited Innovation Assessor” (AInA) degree from the Global Innovation Institute (GInI), a leading international organization in providing professional certifications, accreditations, and memberships in the field of innovation. Ajman DED took this important step in line with its strategic directions to provide pioneering and innovative services for investors as a part of the emirate’s goals aimed at developing prospects for cooperation with research institutions and leading entities in the world in the fields of innovation and anticipating the future and promoting a culture of creativity and sustainable development based on scientific foundations. 

Ajman DED is the first entity in the Ajman government to enable its employees to become certified assessors and exclusively licensed by GInI to conduct innovation maturity assessments for institutions seeking to obtain the Certified Innovation Organization (CInOrg) certificate. This certification also qualifies them to conduct accreditation assessments for innovation laboratories, business incubators, and accelerator programs, in addition to submitting applications for innovation approval for the benefit of institutions. The certified persons have been selected according to specific criteria, including having professional experience of no less than 10 years, in addition to having university degrees. 

On this occasion, Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said: “The Ajman DED employees obtaining the Accredited Innovation Assessor degree reflects the extent of our commitment to developing the capabilities of our national cadres. This confirms the efficiency and maturity of our human resources in creating the future in accordance with the finest international methods and standards. It is considered an impetus for more innovations and creativity to achieve the global competitiveness that the emirate aspires to.” 

Al Nuaimi expressed that the efforts undertaken by the Ajman DED to empower and qualify employees aim to instill the concept of innovation, excellence, and leadership so that they become a way of life and establish an institutional environment that stimulates creative and innovative ideas, and ensure the building of the capabilities and talents of innovative employees to contribute to finding effective solutions to the challenges and opportunities available. He added that the emirate will reap the fruits of this investment in its people through its innovative and unique proactive services. 

HE Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of the Ajman DED, said: “We hastened to develop our innovation policies and future foresight strategy. We also invested in developing human capital to give our national cadres the effective means to apply their knowledge of strategic innovation and standards of excellence in innovation, so today we are reaping the fruits of our planting and we are very proud of our trained and highly qualified national cadres, who are authorized to assess the level of innovation, and which embrace creativity and innovation to provide advanced and new services in the field of entrepreneurship and trade. Moreover, we strive in the future to reach the leadership in innovation.” 

For his part, the international trainer Mr. Salem Hassan Al Ghafri, the course presenter, head of the innovation team, member of the American Board of Training, and GInI member, said: “All certificates and accreditations provided by GInI reflect the latest methods, trends, and strategies in the field of innovation leadership. The training provides a deep understanding of innovation processes and evaluation techniques, including the concept of innovation maturity, the approved innovation organization evaluation process, the GInI's innovation maturity assessment tool, the evaluation scoring approach, the scoring process, the corporate innovation structure, and innovation outcomes.”
