Believing in the importance of community initiatives, the Department of Economic Development of Ajman (Ajman DED) and the Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nouimi Foundation launched the second phase of the "Tejouri" initiative, which is concerned with supporting needy families. The second phase will support orphans in need by helping and supporting them in opening their own businesses through the “Reyada” license for practicing economic activities from home, which will contribute to securing a source of income to help them in their life affairs. This Initiative is launched out of the keenness of both sides to support the strategic objectives of Ajman in achieving sustainable economic development and improving the quality of life.

In this regard, H E Abdullah Ahmed Al Hemrani, Director-General of Ajman DED, said that the Ajman DED attaches great importance to social responsibility, as it is one of its important goals to achieve sustainable development and the quality of life for the community. “Partnerships with the community and charitable foundations are very important and achieve mutual benefits that support the strategic goals. We are proud of our partnership with the Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nouimi Foundation, and are ready to support needy families and orphans, participate in community initiatives, and contribute to the welfare of the community”, Al Hamrani said.

Al Hamrani added that orphans will be supported by starting their businesses through the issuance of Reyada license for them and giving them training courses offered by the SME Development Division and Taziz program to support small and medium enterprises. Orphans will also be trained to conduct feasibility studies for their projects. Al Hamrani stressed that the Ajman DED is concerned with the sustainability of projects. To achieve this, the Department will make periodic reports on these projects, follow them up, and market them through its various channels to ensure the development of the projects and the sustainability and benefit of the project owners from the license.

For his part, H.E. Tariq Abdullah Al-Awadi, Director-General of the Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nouimi Foundation, said that this initiative aims to give orphans citizens sponsored by the Foundation an opportunity to enter the business sector in cooperation with our strategic partner, Ajman DED, and to provide support to the families sponsored by the Foundation by securing a source of income that supports them in their lives, reduces the unemployment rate in the emirate, and provides them with a decent life. Al-Awadi stressed that this initiative will give hope to orphans to integrate into society through the practice of their businesses.

Al-Awadi added that the Foundation will coordinate to support orphans and provide them with all the special needs to start their own projects and adopt their ideas and businesses. He stressed that the orphans and their projects will be followed up and make periodic reports on the continuity and development of their projects. In this context, Al-Awadi said, "We thank Ajman DED Department, our strategic partner, for its support and cooperation in this initiative, and we will continue in our giving journey together."
