Within the framework of enhancing communication and deepening the sustainable knowledge of the employees of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED), Ajman DED hosted the expert Ali Mohamed Al Matrooshi, an expert in the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman (ATDD), to give a lecture to the Ajman DED’s employees entitled “Maritime and land trade exchange in the Emirates society before the discovery of oil” at its headquarters. The lecture covered an important part of the history of the United Arab Emirates, highlighting trade exchange and economic dynamics before the advent of oil.
During his presentation of the lecture, Al Matrooshi mentioned the importance of the impact of land and sea trade exchange in building the ancient Emirati society, which contributed to developing the tools of past economic development and enhancing the economic balance in the history of the Emirates.
On this occasion, H.E Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of the Ajman DED, stressed the importance of these lectures for the human cadres in the Department, as the lecture contributes to raising awareness and economic knowledge of the history of the UAE and enhancing the deep concepts of the development of the country’s economy. Al Hamrani said, “We affirm our keenness to provide economic knowledge to our employees, achieve knowledge exchange, and promote sustainable development in the Emirate of Ajman. On this occasion, I extend my thanks and appreciation to expert Ali Mohamed Al Matrooshi and ATDD for their cooperation in this lecture.”
