Ajman DED Strengthens International Partnerships in Trademark Protection

The Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) received official delegations from the French company Louis Vuitton and the American company Tinko Inc., as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors in the field of trademark protection and intellectual property. 

The visit of Louis Vuitton’s delegation, led by the Director of Criminal Disputes for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, was to express gratitude to the DED for its prominent role in supporting trademark protection and to explore avenues for future cooperation. The delegation commended the DED’s pioneering role in addressing challenges related to counterfeit products, contributing to a safe and advanced economic environment. 

Likewise, the delegation from Tinko Inc., in partnership with ATB Intellectual Property, expressed appreciation for the DED’s achievements in detecting and seizing counterfeit products. The delegation presented an honorary shield as a token of their gratitude for these efforts, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation to protect consumer rights and ensure market integrity. 

Hassan Al Shehhi, Director of Anti-Commercial Fraud Section at Ajman DED, expressed his appreciation for the visits, noting that the DED prioritizes trademark and intellectual property protection to achieve a fair and safe business environment.

These meetings are part of a series of strategic partnerships that support the economic vision of the emirate of Ajman and enhance its position as a global commercial center.
