The Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) concluded the “PMP Diploma” program, which continued for five days at the Ajman Saray Hotel. 15 employees - from the leadership, supervisory, and executive job categories in the Ajman DED - graduated with accreditation from the American Board, with a view to preparing empowered and qualified human cadres, refining their abilities, capabilities, and experience, and creating an experienced workforce with high skills, which contributes to achieving sustainable economic growth in the long term.
The Diploma dealt with the general framework for project management in accordance with international best practices and drew a sequential map of procedures and work steps that cover the project stages, starting from the establishment stage, the planning stage, the implementation, the follow-up, the control, and to the closing stage, in order to ensure the integration and organization of project management activities, with a focus on the impact and results achieved from the projects.
H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General, said: "Investing in human capital and training them in optimal project management is a key factor for any entity looking to achieve its vision and strategic plan. This is in harmony with motivating employees and ensuring that their projects are managed according to the principles of efficiency and effectiveness, in addition to our implementation of Diploma through the use of our professional talents".
Fatima Mohammed Abdullah, Director of the Project Management Office, said: "We have seen the transformation achieved by the participants who expressed the great deal of benefit they gained from all the topics and applications presented in the diploma. Also, they expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Ajman DED for its interest and support in developing their skills. The training material was designed based on the 7th edition of PMBOK 3, and included the knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques necessary to manage project tasks and lead work teams. It will enable employees to plan in a professional, accurate, and documented manner, ensuring success of the project".
