Taziz Program

Program Objectives:

• Create a supporting environment for the establishment and development of SMEs.
• Enhance national entrepreneurship, and increase citizens' participation in economic activity.
• Promote economic diversification and encourage the approved sectoral activities in the Emirate of Ajman.
• Increase the capabilities of the entrepreneurs and enhance SME competitiveness.
• Provide support required for ensuring the continuity of national projects.

Target Group:

• Every citizen who has a project idea and wishes to obtain support to increase his/her capabilities in all aspects before starting his/her project.
• Every citizen who wants to start a new project in Ajman.
• Every citizen who has an existing project in Ajman and the project age is not more than three years.

Membership Fees:

The Ajman DED collects fees for registration in the Taziz Program only for the first five years of registration, which is:

• (AED 1,000) one thousand UAE dirhams annually for the first three years.
• (AED 2,000) two thousand UAE dirhams annually for the fourth and fifth years.

Executing Entity:

The Ajman DED represented by the SME Development Section affiliated to the Business Development Department.

Available activities in the Program:

The Program includes all economic activities approved by the Department, and the concerned organizational units of the Department are responsible for determining the additional documents and requirements that must be met for each activity in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Establishment Legal Forms:

Any establishment registered in the Program shall exclusively take one of the following legal forms:Sole Proprietorship - Limited Liability Company - One Person Company - Partnership Company - Simple Limited Partnership, provided that all the owners, partners, and managers registered in the license shall be UAE citizens.

Privileges offered to the program members:

• Exemption of new and existing projects owners from local fees for a period of 5 years.
• Allocation of 10% of the total contracts concluded by government agencies annually.
• Reduction of the rent value of the state-owned properties for the Program members by 10% for the first three years.
• Subscription in the relevant training and research programs organized by government agencies shall be free of charge.
• Getting priority to participate in exhibitions organized by the government departments, whether inside or outside the country
• Receiving assistance in the preparation of feasibility studies before starting the project,
• Obtaining advisory services in all fields.
• Promoting the projects for owners of SMEs

Terms for registering establishments in the Taziz Program:

To register the establishments in the program, the following terms are required:

• The establishment must be licensed in Ajman.
• The establishment must be fully owned by the UAE citizens
• The license of the establishment must not be issued from more than three years.
• The owner of the establishment does not have more than five commercial licenses.
• The establishment should not be a benefiting from the exemptions granted to the participants in Khalifa Fund or any other similar funds in the Emirate.
• Adjusting the conditions of the establishment and paying all due fees or fines. if any.
• Registration and issuance of only one license during the membership period for each member.
